IN THE BEGINNING
In 1982, Stier Supply Company took its next major step as founder Buddy Stier entrusted the business to the second generation—Jon, Hank, and Timothy. Their leadership cemented Stier’s legacy as a family-owned company and propelled it toward an ambitious era of expansion.
All About Family
Stier Supply Company was founded in 1946 by Albert “Buddy” Stier and Roger Holman with a vision to bring the Stier name to the forefront of the millwork industry. What began as a small operation quickly evolved, expanding into the production of wood double-hung windows and the assembly of high-quality doors.
Stier’s growth continued steadily through the late 1990s and into the 2010s, serving new markets across the Carolinas including Savannah, Myrtle Beach, Raleigh, Charleston, Greenville, and beyond.
A Path of Expansion
In 2018, Ryan Stier assumed the role of President and CEO, carrying forward Stier Supply’s legacy of quality and growth. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into Atlanta, Charlotte, Jacksonville, and Nashville, supported by facilities in Columbia, Raleigh, and Atlanta. Ryan’s tenure has been defined by continued market growth and a commitment to strengthening the communities Stier serves both through the homes it helps build and the jobs and opportunities it creates.
